Welcome to White Sands Bilingual College

Nestled near the world-famous Yasur Volcano on Tanna Island, White Sands Bilingual College is a vibrant boarding school where learning, culture, and community come together. We are proud to unite English and French-speaking students and teachers, creating a rich bilingual environment that reflects the diversity of Vanuatu.

Our school was built by the local community and council, and to this day, it remains community-owned and community-proud. We gratefully acknowledge the Government of Vanuatu, through the Ministry of Education, for providing vital funding, and the Teaching Service Commission, who assigns dedicated teachers from across Vanuatu to serve here.

As a boarding school, daily life is supported by many hands and hearts:

Cooks who prepare nutritious meals
Boarding master who cares for our students after class hours
Handyman and maintenance team who keep our school safe and welcoming
Bursar who manages our finances
Chaplain who guides our spiritual growth
And many others who serve faithfully every day

We also deeply value the support of churches and faith communities that walk alongside us, including the Moment Church, SDA, Church of Christ, LDS, and many others, who contribute to the spiritual life and guidance of our students.

In addition, we sincerely acknowledge the non-government organizations (NGOs) and partners who support our mission through resources, training, and community development. Their contributions strengthen our school and help us achieve our vision for education.
